Reagent Reservoirs
Reagent reservoirs are an essential component of multichannel pipetting workflows, providing a stable, low-dead-volume vessel for loading tips simultaneously across 8 or 12 channels without the spillage, cross-contamination, and volumetric inconsistency that comes from pipetting directly out of stock reagent bottles. Reservoir geometry, material composition, and graduation markings determine how efficiently a reagent is recovered at low volumes, whether the reservoir is compatible with the solvents and biological reagents being dispensed, and how accurately the remaining volume can be estimated during a run. For automated liquid handling systems and high-throughput assay workflows, reservoir stackability and cover compatibility reduce contamination risk between steps.
Ibis Scientific supplies reagent reservoirs in standard 25 mL and 50 mL formats in polypropylene and polystyrene, sterile and non-sterile configurations, with divided and undivided reservoir options for single and multichannel dispensing applications.
