DCTs & Test Tubes

(Showing 8 of 56)

Disposable culture tubes and test tubes are workhorses of sample dilution, reagent preparation, and specimen processing across clinical, environmental, and microbiological laboratories. Unlike reusable glassware, disposable formats eliminate the cleaning validation burden, reduce cross-contamination risk between samples, and provide a consistent, lot-certified surface chemistry that is especially important in microbiological culture work where residual detergents or contaminants on reused glassware can inhibit organism growth and produce false negative results. Tube material, diameter, and rim design must be matched to the centrifuge rotor, rack system, and closure format in use to ensure compatibility across the full workflow from collection through analysis.

Ibis Scientific supplies disposable culture tubes and test tubes in glass and polypropylene formats, covering 12 x 75 mm, 13 x 100 mm, 16 x 100 mm, and 17 x 100 mm standard sizes in rimmed and rimless configurations, sterile and non-sterile options, suited to clinical specimen processing, microbiological culture, and general laboratory sample handling applications.
